Don’t stumble around in the dark! Get a copy of Power today! The third book in the Arca superhero urban fantasy series, Power, released today, May 5, 2018.
In this book, Zita Garcia is trying to be good and return to her normal, quiet life of extreme sports, secret vigilantism, and scrounging for a paycheck. Unfortunately, nobody told her least favorite supervillains, and now she’s got to stop them before more people die. Even if she doesn’t know what they’re doing, other than it involves Brazil… and dinosaurs?
You can find it at major book retailers including:
To celebrate the release and readers who’ve stuck around for the past couple of books, I’m releasing the ebook at $2.99. After a week or so, the price will go up to $3.99 USD (or equivalent). I have no current plans to put it on sale again this year, though I’ll revisit that decision in the fall.
Paperbacks should be available within a week for $14.99 (or equivalent). I have a copy in my printer ink-stained hands and am checking it now to ensure no errors have crept in and multiplied while I wasn’t looking. As errors do.
Once the ball drops/bell tolls (for thee)/clock strikes midnight/old man 2017 is replaced by the bouncing bundle of 2018, you should do a couple of things:
First, finish that drink and get some sleep. You’ll need it.
Second, go check out this massive collection of free books and stories. Seriously, it’s over 140 different free books and stories, all in sci-fi or fantasy genres. All are complete stories in and of themselves, no previews or partial books, all available from January 1-15, 2018. Pick out the one(s) you like, and download them. They’re free, completely legal, and cover a huge variety of genres, cross-genres, and hard-to-find subgenres.
What’s the catch? For most of these books, you are signing up to that specific author’s mailing list when you download their story. Only that author. If you download one book, you join one list. If you download twenty… you’ll have a lot of reading material, and be subscribed to twenty lists.
My Arca superhero short story, Tourists, is one of the stories in this promotion. If you don’t want to bother with the promo or missed it, you can always join my mailing list. The link to do so is at the bottom of every page of this site.
Whether you download anything or not, may you all have a smashingly wonderful new year (preferably filled with books)!
As a treat before the holiday madness begins in earnest, how about a massive ebook sale?
All books — over 180 of them — are 99 cents at all of the major retailers, not just Amazon, for the weekend. Genres include science fiction, fantasy, horror, dystopian, science fiction/fantasy romance, and post-apocalyptic books, separated by retailer and genre. As an added bonus, the same 99 cent price applies to multiple anthologies and box sets.
Super is one of the books on sale, so if you haven’t picked up your copy, go for it! If you have, books also make excellent holiday gifts. 😉
A bunch of superhero authors (and a book recommendation site) are having a big sale to promote the genre and reward our readers! And you get to benefit from it. Not only is my Super 99 cents USD, but several others are also on 99 cents or free from May 18 to 20. You can see all the books on sale here (https://genrereader.com/2016/05/18/superhero-fiction-sale/) after 3 am EST.
If you’ve already purchased Super, thank you, and I hope you enjoy it! Perhaps another book in the sale will appeal to you? I may do some shopping myself.
This is the only price drop I have planned until Human (Arca Book 2) comes out or closer to Christmas. Maybe not even at Christmas. I have stockings to fill, after all. The price break should last until Sunday afternoon or evening (US time zone).
Then again, Amazon will do what Amazon will do. Who knows? Super wasn’t meant to be 99 cents until May 18, but Amazon decided to drop the price a bit faster than anticipated. They may drag their feet on increasing the price again.
